Growth, Gratitude, and Being Present

Realtor. Broker. Wife. Mom. Grandmother.
But at the heart of it all… I am someone who loves deeply, lives fully, and never wants to miss a moment that matters.

March was full.
Very full.

Busy in all the ways life can be… but if I had to sum it up in one word, it would be grateful.

No matter how loud the world gets, or how many responsibilities are pulling at me… I’ve made a promise to myself that I will always stay young at heart.

When my grandbabies ask me to dance… I dance.
No hesitation. No “I’m too busy.” Just presence.

Family dinners at the Capela house are loud, full of energy, and honestly… a little chaotic at times, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Those are the moments that stay with you.

And as we step into this new season, I find myself wanting to slow down just a little more…
to hold onto traditions, to create moments, and to stay connected to what matters most.

One of those traditions I’m hoping to bring back this season is making sweet bread, something that connects me to my Portuguese roots and reminds me how meaningful the simple things can be.

And in business, March reminded me again, why I love what I do.

Real estate brought so many blessings.
New relationships. New opportunities to walk alongside people during some of the most important moments of their lives.

To see their vision… to feel their excitement… to help guide them toward their dreams—that means everything to me.
And I felt that in a big way this last month.

Within our office, we celebrated some incredible wins.
Our agents are outperforming the average, and I couldn’t be more proud.

There is something very special about walking alongside people as they grow - mentoring new agents, watching confidence build, and knowing you’re playing a small part in helping them create a life and business they’re proud of.

It’s not just rewarding… it’s meaningful.

But what truly impacted me this month went far beyond business.

We hosted our Masks for Miracles Gala, benefiting Live Like Cameron Foundation.

Together, we raised $45,000, and after event expenses, 100% of the proceeds will go directly to the Live Like Cameron Foundation to support children and families battling cancer.

We’ve already filled and delivered 42 Bags of Hope, each one created to bring comfort, distraction, and a reminder that these families are not alone.

And we’re not stopping there.

Next, we will be partnering with Live Like Cameron to help children who are unable to attend prom… experience prom right from the hospital.

And we may just have one more surprise up our sleeves.

This mission is deeply personal.
Not just for me...but for every volunteer who has poured their heart into it.

Because at the end of the day, this is what hit me the most:

Everything we do… impacts families.

In our business.
In our homes.
In our communities.

How we show up matters.

April brings a new kind of energy.

A season of growth.
Longer days. Lighter evenings. New opportunity.

And with Easter, it’s also a spiritual reminder for me, a moment to pause, reflect, and stay grounded in what truly matters.

This month, my focus is simple:

To BE.

To be present.
To be grateful.
To be intentional.

To fully take in the gift of life and never take a single moment for granted.

Because this life… it’s happening now.

And I don’t want to miss it.
