As summertime arrives in Palm Coast Florida, my attention turns to the much-needed family vacation. I am a cruise enthusiast, and Palm Coast is the prefect location for that affordable cruise vacation. Most people must fly to get to the cruise terminal, which can double the cost of the cruise. Palm Coast, however, is a short drive to 5 Major cruise ports. Port Canaveral, also referred to as Orlando Cruise Terminal, is about 1 hour away. There are several major cruise lines that call Port Canaveral home, and sailings from 3 to 8 days or more. Jacksonville Florida is about an hour away also, and offers 3 to 5 day cruises to the Bahamas and Key West. Occasionally longer cruises are offered. Tampa Cruise Terminal is about 2.5 hours, and offers cruises 3, 5 and 7 day, many to the Western Caribbean and Mexico. Ft. Lauderdale is about 3.5 hours drive, and has offers almost every major cruise line, and any destination. Miami is about a 4-hour drive, and is the cruise capital of Florida. The Southern cruise ports are able to travel to more distant ports of call than the Northern cruise ports, so Aruba, and St. Kitts are often available from here.
Cruising not your cup of tea? Not a problem! Palm Coast is about 1.5 hour drive to Disney World, Sea World, Aquatica, legoland, and many other theme parks. There is also the world’s most famous beach, Daytona, and the oldest US city, Saint Augustine, about 30 minutes away. The list of vacation destinations goes on.
It’s no wonder they call this Paradise.
